    Blue means bluetooth

    Spent a few moment trying to "fix" the "broken" bluetooth in a customers computer.

    Spent to much time making her understand that she had no bluetooth in her laptop.

    Finally found out that she had a HP Photosmart 2710 wich has WiFi and not bluetooth.

    Her reply to the information was "But the color on the led is blue!?!"


    ARGHHHHH!!!!!!
    If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

    Making it worse, my work laptop SAYS it has Bluetooth, and has a Bluetooth light, and has a driver for Bluetooth... but doesn't actually have the Bluetooth radio module installed.

    UGH.

      yup, sticker, driver, app and Empty slot for the BT module

        Hehe, mines the other way around. No where does it display that it has bluetooth, yet the module is there, installed and fully functional.

          So an invisible led would indicate an infrared port?
          (cool, I have loads of infrared ports then!!)

          My laptop has bluetooth, but other than the sticker on it, it cannot be seen anyware (no activity or enabled led, just like for the wifi). The slide button on the side activates bt and wifi, its position indicates its status...
          My phone has a two colored led: if it lights green, wifi is active; if it lights blue, bluetooth is active (if it blinks, both are active).
