I have just watched Mongol
The Trailer
Here's a correct aspect trailer.
It's a Russian coproduction on life of Temujin/Dzhingis Khan
The battles are fabulous, it has great story.
Highly recommend if it comes to cinema near you.
It's in Mongolian, with Russian voiceover.
There is another similar film from Kazakhstan, also recent, same director:
Nomad/Kochevnik
Trailers
It's about the battle for unification and independance of Kazakhs from Dzhungari.
The battles, horse scenes are faboulous as well, the story is slightly weaker due to a bit of patriotism, but I loved it as well.
There are Kazakh and Russian versions, I watched the Russian one.
(In the past couple of years I became fluent in Russian )
