Brian and I have agreed about nuclear power for a long, log time. It just makes too much sense; economically, from a land use perspective and environmentally, to be ignored as it has here in the US for 30+ years. Another good reason to kick Jimmy Carter's arse around

And the reason for the windmills brakedown?

      Lack of proper maintenance.

Its simply hard to get people to do proper maintenance.

      Its dull, dull, dull.

If done right, its ALWAYS the same.

All the fun starts when you do it wrong.

Its actually been a pretty big topic, here in .dk
Apparently its only one of our 3-4 larger producers that are experiencing these problems - and one failure out of 45.000 installed mills can be seen as a rather low rate of failure.
But. And heres the important part - it could have been prevented. It should have been prevented.

So it's 5:30 in the morning and I can't sleep... I'm reading an interesting MURC thread and yes my first reaction is that Brian and Dr. M are agreeing on something like nuclear power - I check my pulse and verify that yes I'm ok.... I then think it makes sense in the way that Dr. M just said two posts ago. Then everyone starts saying the same thing in the thread that I just throught. I check my pulse again.

I miss sleep but this is entertaining.

I also agree with Lizzy about the knowledge dumps you get from MURC...tis why I keep coming back.

True, but it wasn't prevented and over time maintenance is the first thing that gets cut. I'm sure the scandal will have an affect on how easily/cheaply property owners will provide easements for windmills from here out

BTW: my bad leg happened because of a change in elevator maintenance, so in a way I'm an expert on the subject
