I believe hardly any ODs on paracetamol occur here. But then, it is not sold OTC as something to take for a bloody cold (I mean it is not marketed for such silly things).

Only for pain-relief and to surpress fever. The latter only if you have to. Nothing wrong with a good fever once in a while.

The info sheet with the OTC product will caution not to take more than 3g/24hr.

And just how many people do you know who actually READ the insert, much less understand it given the reading level of certain segments of the population?

LOL, the people _I_ know all read the inserts (and laugh about them). But I know few people, true.

Anyway, the packaging, apparantly, is smaller here, max. 20 tablets per package, 10 for the 1g anal ones. Overdosis do happen here and, as with most medicines, the number of cases is rising. Not as much as with vitamin-supplements though, especially with kids.

Paracetamol is only available in from pharmacies or drug stores (and drug store departments in some supermarkets).
