I don't think that the teachers unions would ever allow cameras recording them in classrooms.

I just can't wrap my mind around the concept of a teacher's union allowing or disallowing anything, having been in one.

Oh its pretty amazing some of the things that the teachers unions have pulled here in MA. But with the power they have, pretty much anything they ask for goes through, including tax increases to build a $200million school for a town... the cost of that one has gone up 40% since it was approved a year ago, and is 2x the normal price per sq ft of new schools in the state.

I'll dig up some info on other items like proficiency testing for teachers if you're interested and post later.
