That's great news, I think Marvel will have three successful comic based movies, Spiderman XMEN and now Iron Man.

DC however have Batman and Superman which were pretty sucessfull releases.

    Cheers!

Don't forget "Incredible Hulk", which is getting good underground buzz and appears to be more akin to the old TV series than the first film. I think the name was intended is a hint to that.

That is impressive, but I will truly impressed if it's above 90% after more than 100 reviews are loaded.

66 reviews and counting, and it's up to 94%.

The "Top Critics" rating is 90% with the outliers being the LA Times and New Yorker, which tend to liking the artsy-fartsy flicks anyhow.

I'm really looking forward to this movie. It's funny because Tony Stark as a character as always annoyed me to no end. How he handled the recent Civil War is classic Stark. Still, he's a real character and they've managed to capture him REALLY well here and make it an interesting story from what I can tell. I hope this continues.

I haven't even seen the first Hulk movie but I'll be seeing this new one without a doubt.

                I for one am impressed.

Ah crap, this one will now be totally under the radar :/ (yes, I know, those posts of mine are getting old )

(ok, so while trying this to be last of such posts : Man of Iron is really worth watching if you want to know more about the movement that helped greatly to tear down the wall dividing Europe, and from the most interesting perspective - people whos lifes were changed by those events...perhaps most amazing thing is that it isn't some after-the-fact combined documentary/movie...it was actually allowed to be made back then, just before martial law was installed; the crew was actually present during some historic events depicted in the movie)

(edit2: and I just noticed that EN translation of title can't convey everything in original one: it's not, as would be suspected, plural; it's singular "Man of Iron"; somehow in line with what I wrote above, how it concentrates on individual lifes...
ok, end of topic, at least I managed to only edit this one post, hopefully without hijacking the thread )

IMO the events in Poland during those years will be writ large in the history of the 20th century.

Ahhh no more shift work for me, so to celebrate I stayed up and with some friends went and saw the movie.
It rates up there with all the other superhero movies.
Rob D Jr does an amazing job as Tony Stark. The movie is quite funny too there are some laugh out loud scenes that you don't see in the trailers. Stan Lee usual appearance was great. Very well done movie.
The Indy trailer and the Incredible Hulk were lame, the Love Guru looks funny and an Adam Sadler movie called something don't mess with Zohan was funny.

PS Stay after the credits for a quick little scene

The movie was AMAZING. It was MUCH better than I expected and I had high hopes going in.
