Poor old Police. Okay I don't like a lot of them but when they do decide to do something in response to public opinion someone else always jumps up from the correct crowd and damns them.
In this case Police are trying to stem the increase of knife and gun crime between youngsters and gangs. Of course you'd be extremely unlucky to actually see a policeman let alone be searched. Most of them are behind comfy desks filling out paperwork or just walking to the bacon butty shop.
Anyway the correct crowd have decided searching youngsters isn't going to make em happy. As far as I'm concerned if one knife removed saves someone from being murdered or scarred for life it's worth.
