I'm no fisherman, but it sure looks like a nice catch.

Nice haul! I haven't been fishing in ages. When my kids are old I may have to take them.

There is a lake at the Boardwalk mall in Myrtle Beach that has HUGE catfish. There were probably a dozen that big or larger. But I don't think you can fish in that lake. Or at least they would be upset if you did.

        That cat weighed around 20-25lbs.
In Canada we are bigger on measurements as opposed to weight. I guess cuz it is harder to stretch a fish than to change its weight

Regardless, it was a pretty good fight even on a 6'4 Heavy Rod.

The Cat in Myrtle Beach are a different species I believe.

What we have here are Channel Catfish, and Lockport, Mb is possibly the best place in the world for monster Channel Cat's like that one. The largest Channel I have caught was only .5" larger than that one, although probably another 5lbs.
Still waiting on a 40"er. Only a few are caught each year.

If anyone is curious, I posted a pic of the White Sturgeon my buddy caught last year when we were in BC. I hooked into one of similar size but it got snagged on a huge fallen tree

I'm not posting it here though, I'm keeping this thread just for fish that I actually caught.

Nice haul of goldeye today, got this all within about an hour between 3 of us. Usually got one in less than 30 seconds from casting out, spent more time getting them off the hook and putting on new bait than actually fishing.

We got 24 total, pic shows 20.

Some we will eat, and some we will use for catching more catfish (as seen on page one of this thread).

These guys are all about 11" long.
