Consensus: Del Toro crafts a stellar comic book sequel, boasting visuals that are as imaginative as the characters are endearing.

Wall Street Journal: If you didn't know that there's a Troll Market underneath the east tower of the Brooklyn Bridge, you need to brush up on your monstrosities with the help of Guillermo del Toro's hugely inventive -- and smashingly beautiful -- Hellboy II: The Golden Army.

Washington Post: As he has done in all his movies, from creature features such as Mimic to serious dramas such as Pan's Labyrinth, del Toro creates unforgettable images, filled with color, texture, lyricism and horror.

Chicago Sun-Times (Roger Ebert): [del Toro] has an endlessly inventive imagination, and understands how legends work, why they entertain us and that they sometimes stand for something. For love, for example.

They kept trying to have point/counterpoint sets of circumstances throughout the show, but they were doing it too fast to fully get the original point. HB and Liz being the primary example. Add to that that there was too much funny.

I give this a wait for the DVD and not the special edition.

HB and the baby too and other things that would give away too much of the plot. Unimaginative and too predictable. It's too easy to figure out what is going to happen to the prince.

Just watched the movie. It's one of the worst movies EVER. Just go on IMDB and read the 'hated it' reviews. Everything they wrote there is correct.
It's a stinking Pan's Labirynth II meets LoTR meets Men in Black done in the worst possible way, well other than CGI. Then again, if I want CGI, I can download an nvidia demo and be just as happy.
