To save dev time they put their E-REV drives into the Grand Caravan and Wrangler instead of creating new platforms. Similar deal to the Volt: 40 miles as an EV followed by an ICE generator recharge of the pure electric drive.
One interesting factoid: the Wrangler will use wheel motors - an easy way to 4WD. IMO probably Raser Technologies units.
Their pure EV sports car is to be based on the soon to be released new Lotus Europa. 0-60 in 5 seconds.
Apparently they have not only been working with GE but with A123 Systems, one of the suppliers of Volts batteries.

~100 will be issued to fleets and governments for road testing followed by one starting consumer production in 2010 with the rest to follow. Which first? I think the Caravan - makes more sense as a fleet vehicle.
