So I've been rather MIA from here lately. I'd like to say it was because I've been making more art but that's is at best only mildly true and for the last month its been very untrue.
Due to the craziness that is work I finally got off my butt and am working my way through all the certifications I need to get. If any of you have heard about a rather large international company that focuses on technology services (such as IT infrastructure) being bought out by another international company that focuses on printers and computers then you know a bit about what's going on. When the combined company has 300k jobs and they announce plans to get rid or 24.6k of them.. you start to prepare.
So... two weeks ago I took my Citrix CCA certification (Presentation Server 4.5 Administration) and passed with a 96%.
Today I'm taking my Windows Server 2003 Management and Maintenance, 70-290, certification which if I pass it will be my second MCP and I'll be further down the path for my MCSA and then MCSE.
I'm self taught almost completely (BFA in Sculpture) and studying does show you how you know a lot of high end stuff but you tend to forget how you skipped over some pretty basic stuff along the way.
Wish me luck.
