    How much per metric ton?

There's a few GW morons I'd like to drop some snow on
If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

We got just under 12 inches dumped on us and now they are forecasting another 4-6 overnight.

It's getting to the point of needing the tractor's bucket to effectively move snow since the plow can't push the piles any higher.

Well at least it's a guaranteed White Christmas.

That Meijer store is now using HUGE front loaders to move those snow piles into massive top-loading semi trucks so it can be hauled anywhere else but there

More snow predicted for us tonight as well.

The big storm they were predicting for here petered out. About 1 1/2 inches of snow yesterday. Today dawned totally clear skies and crazy windy and COLD. High of -7 F. This is the most arctic it's been around here in 7 or 8 years.

Hey, where are we on the solar cycle?

PS. Did I ever mention that my real life nickname translates to "winter"?
And TBH...I'm doing a bad job here - almost symbolic snow for two days in late November, and since then...no snow, temperatures typically above 0 during the day, and at least some nights (we do have drizzle, but no ice/rime ice/etc.) - also above 0.

Oh well, apparently it needs to be this way/I'm in the process of moving...and all this cold & snow has to end up somewhere

                  Yup...right on top of Europe - looks like it's you guys turn to get hammered;

                  Link....
SEVERE COLD WAVE TO HIT EUROPE

The development of a major blocking high pressure system over the north atlantic and its subsequent backing west is about to throw most of Europe into the coldest winter weather pattern in many a year. In fact, Temps over the next month or so are liable to average 6-10 degrees F below normal over the center part of the continent with the northwest coldest last, but still getting into the games. Intuitive with this is the likelihood of more than normal snow and ice. As the upper block backs west, arctic discharges from the north and east are liable to bring shots of severe cold back into England and with it enhanced snowfall.

While it has been "chilly" so far, what is about to come is the worst in many a winter, perhaps the sign that the warm AMO is reaching its maturity. The US winter has been much like those around 1950 which was the benchmark winter in the pac northwest of the US and was the warning shot that the warm cycle of the 30s 40s and 50s was starting its end game. It should be comforting to people worried that we are pushing our planet over the edge that things that happened before are happening again, though the discomfort caused by cold is a big problem

I wish to point out, with no malice intended, that the two countries who have major scientific organizations that have been pushing the global warming idea, Britain and the UKMET and the US with NOAA have been burned by the cold that has developed here. NOAA had a December forecast for a warm central US for November that they were forced to revise and the UKMET forecast for a rather bland winter for Europe speaks for itself. Its anything but bland, whether it averages out near the average or not, because what is coming has not been seen in years.

Now that could mean that its testimony to how warm it is... it hasnt been seen in years. But the fact it hasnt disappeared completely, the fact it is coming back and catching people off guard (hopefully not you) means there is no rout on, but plenty of doubt. If an enemy is vanquished, it should not be able to launch attacks of this magnitude.

As if I don't have enough room to push any more of this stuff around with the plow, and the thought of mounting up the tractor in sub-zero weather is making my privates shrink,,,,,,

They are calling for another 10-12 inches coming down in the next 48 hours. 1-2 tonight, 1-3 Tuesday, another 1-2 Tuesday night, and 4-7 Christmas Eve day.

I am going to make an educated guess that I have 14+ inches sitting on the ground right now.

                    ARRRGGHH!!!!!!!!

I can not properly express how happy I am that for the first time in several decades I have ALL my shopping done.

Same here....starting to look like a polar region around here

Like you I'm running out of room for the snow blower to be able to throw over the existing piles, which are approaching 3-4 feet as it is. I have a John Deere tractor and a blade, but like you my nether regions aren't looking forward to it.

Finished my shopping today by getting Margie a Canon digital cam (A590 IS). That's an older model, but a goodie whose OS can be modified and extended using the CHDK hackl. She also prefers having the option of using an optical viewfinder, which it has. Got our middle son a Canon HF100 flash media camcorder, which is so small & LIGHT I may decide keep it

Doc, I'm not sure how much I can trust a weather foresight in a publication that mixes weather with global climate as a means to pursuing its agenda...

Either way, today we have a typical autumn here (with medium rain, moderately strong wind from NW), so one could argue it's already quite extreme. I'll keep you updated as long as I can
