That's a similar approach to the Predator camouflage or the Austin Martin Vanish (Vanquish) from the Jame Bond movie by projecting an image from the oposite site onto many LEDs on the surface of the vehicle.

Well the principle is there: just get the image from the back to the front (and vice versa!).
While the costume may be quite angle dependant, it is a great idea!
