Youngest son Erik (11) heads off to Jr. High a year early, but in additon to that he's won a President's Award for Educational Excellence, complete with a letter from President Obama.
The criteria come down to A grades and hammering all their standardized tests into the ground head first from 4th to 6th grade (K-3 don't count), but he got it using just 4th and 5th since he's being promoted.
IF he keeps it up the award in high school comes with a $5,000 scholarship.
