  • SpaceX Falcon 1 launches early - orbits RazakSAT (video)

Falcon 1 flight 5 successfully orbited RazakSAT tonight, a day early.

With their scoot-n-shoot launch system they can take advantage of situations that permit a rapid launch: within 1 hour from clearance they can get the rocket from the horizontal assembly building next to the pad to the pad, erect the launcher, fuel the rocket and shoot.

Next stop: Falcon 9's maiden flight. Can't wait
