Problem with Tamiflu is that it's been shown that many people develope a resistance to it after their first course of treatment, which is why it's reserved for serious cases and those at high risk here.
New recommendation: kids get 2 doses 4 weeks/28 days apart. The first primes the immune system but doesn't provide full protection most of the time. The booster finishes the job.
Problem: the peak of our flu season is expected in 2 weeks and the govt.'s supply is half what it should have been - the egg method of production turned out to be slower than with other flu's. One would thinik this would have been discovered earlier in its development so adjustments could be made, but apparently not.
