First time on, no problem. Second time on, I got a server error. Third try on OK again. Looks like you're now hosted in Brea, CA.
I got onto the Comcast network at Ashburn VA very well and each Comcast node at Maclean VA, Atlanta GA, Dallas TX, LA, CA slowed it down but the big bottleneck seems to be an unnamed node between Comcast LA and NewDream Networks at Brea CA with 100% packet failure at times.
Edit: got another server error 404 while posting above: it appears it went but it would not acknowledge it.
Short version, hosting via dreamhost now.
some things happening in my personal life - all good - that I will share later, that means my cash lovin needs to go elsewhere then on you guys

English doesn't borrow from other languages. It follows them down dark alleys, knocks them over, and goes through their pockets for loose grammar.
It is certainly no slower here, maybe faster. Maybe the two glitches I saw were because one of the DNSs hadn't caught up with the move. Seems stable now.
oddly enough, seems faster here too.
sad really, price much cheaper - by a factor of stoopid amounts
Because The Planet generally sells crappy servers at crazy prices. Then instead of giving you fast network performance and charging by the GB they throttle your network connection to 10 Mbps under the guise of "unlimited" bandwidth. The end result is a "server" that is slower than most cheap desktops with piss slow networking.
Most shared hosting these days are put on pretty good hardware with unthrottled Gb network connections. Sometimes they are on "cloud" or web farm like configurations on top of that. As long as your site doesn't get too big it's a pretty good deal with a good host.
But that's just my opinion.
Site works fine from East Coast USA.
