    and here's a teaser of the concepts front grille.

    Yes, a concept, but they say it's close to the direction they're headed.

    The car will be announced March 3rd.

    That does look to be the new fashion in electronics: clean panel (aluminium or black), with an illuminated line pattern in green, blue or yellow...

    Looks nice, but why do they always start with looks?

        It didn't - the underpinnings started @GM with the EV-1. People think the EV-1 was killed off in some grand conspiracy. Not true. The car was impractical economically in that it cost too much to produce then, but over time its basic tech was evolved into a phase I production vehicle, the Volt, with the addition of the range extending generator. This is phase I.5 - larger Voltecs. Phase II hits in 2012, and it too will be another evolution from the EV-1.
