Just six days to go. The off-season has been fascinating to watch. Many changes this year, could be an entralling season:
Ferrari have Alsono and Massa.
McLaren have Button and Hamilton - two world champs in one team. I hope that isn't counterproductive.
Mercedes GP (formerly Brawn GP) have Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher. I've never cared for Shuey (obviously you have to admire his all-round talent and ability, but not his methods) but he'll certainly stir things up.
Red Bull - looking and talking very competitive.
BMW reborn as Sauber (again), Pedro de la Rossa finally given a chance to pedal race-distance rather than just a few practice days.
Lots of shenanigans at the back end of the grid. USF1 failing to make an entry yet Stefan GP (formerly Toyota) denied a place on the grid despite having gotten as far as shipping cars to Bahrain! The Lotus name makes a return under the expert technical guidance of Mike Gascoine, albeit for a Malaysian team.
There will be no refuelling, just lightning-quick tyre changes. Red Bull reckon they've done it in under 2 seconds. The cars now have to be balanced to run optimally throughout a 150Kg difference in race weight!
No more KERS (by agreement of all the FOTA teams).
And the British GP will be at Silverstone again. They are spending millions improving the circuit.
