The trailer for Predators. A bold new chapter in the Predator universe, Predators was shot on location under Rodriguez’s creative auspices at the filmmaker’s Austin-based...

Now this is a remake that may not suck.

The awesome-ness factor certainly seems quite high from the trailer. Although it is hard to compete with the original's awesome-ness.

I think it's cool, but it cannot replace the original with Arnold which I think is still a classic!

No no no...if you have to include Avatar it has to be Predators vs Avatar. Aliens have always been tunnels and spaceship fights, with only the rare outdoor appearance. Predators however, would thrive on Pandora.

Who's to say Predators don't already visit Pandora on hunting expeditions? The Na'vi would be galaxy-class prey.

But if The Company really wants the unobtainium on Pandora badly enough, what better way to wipe out the Na'vi than to seed the planet with Alien eggs?

Of course that unleashes even more trouble because given how tough the Na'vi are, can you imagine a Na'vi/Alien? Yikes!

And what if such a Na'vi/Alien manages to interface with the global mind?

One can only hope that The Company is smarter than that.

Amazing, the discussions this thread evolved in.

That reminds me: it's time for this weeks' Supervillain Smackdown.

(As I post this it's still displaying last weeks' match. It should update sometime today.)

In The Adventures of Superman #463 (February 1990 - post-crisis) Wally West (Flash III) won. In previous "races", usually done under duress, they raced to arranged ties (Jay Garrick - Flash I and Barry Allen - Flash II), but in Smallville Flash (Bart Allen - grandson of Barry and AKA Impulse/Kid Flash II/Flash IV) beats Clark Kent/Superboy handily, even running backwards to taunt him before blasting away into the distance. Clark just stopped, grinned and shook his head.

I'm partial to the Suduvu.com cage match, personal.

Saw this movie tonight, Walked in with no expectations, besides that it would probably suck.

                          It surpriced me.

Much better than any of the AvP movies

I saw it back in July. It was surprisingly unsucky... if all you expect is a rather mindless action flick. Which I did. In fact, it was out-right entertaining.
