Now why did you edit out what you first wrote instead of "something"... I had such a good comment ready when I noticed it in my mailbox...

The thing is, as long as there are active moderators, and moderation happens appropriately, no-one really notices that one of the moderators is not active anymore... There are multiple mods for each forum, so there is redundancy. Az is also moderator, but visits less frequently than he used to.

For that exact reason....I didn't want to leave the sentence open to misinterpretation, so I just made it short and to the point.

I understand, I guess I just personally feel that mods should be more active than your average user. When I go down the mods list here and I see that there are some that only post a handful of times per year, it kind of devalues the title IMO. This isn't directed specifically at Lizzie or anyone else, just making a point.

I'm an admin on a couple of well-populated forums, and if a mod becomes inactive, I revert them to a regular member. If I didn't do this, I'd be worried that I'd be sending the message that it was acceptable to be inactive, and other mods may be less motivated to stay on top of things.

Obviously this site isn't all that busy so it's not that big of a deal here.

I love how these threads morph from ..."Where's Lizzie????" to "We need more KVH!"

Yes, us MURCers still know how to switch threads...
(I wonder if this thread will be kept alive until Lizzie sees it...)

I think KVH was the only racist, fascist bigot that I ever had sympathy for.
