Star Sapphire in the Green Lantern movie?

Blake Lively is playing Hal Jordan/Green Lanterns love interest Carol Ferris. Through the GL stories she eventually gets a violet power ring and becomes part of the Star Sapphire Corps.

So....the lovely Ms. Lively has this interview in this months Vogue and says this;

I’m going to be the coolest aunt ever....Our director likes it real — the fights close and dirty,....I’m 40 feet in the air, spiraling around. That’s the best workout you can ever do because it’s all core,....You do that for ten minutes and you should see your body the next day! It’s so exhilarating, so thrilling—and nauseating.

That doesn't exactly sound like the pre-Star Sapphire Carol Ferris to me.
