    Toyota buys share of Tesla

    Toyota has bought a $50million share of electric car maker Tesla. As part of the deal Tesla has bought a Toyota factory in Fremont, California, in which it will produce its cars in partnership with Toyota.

    Last year Tesla sold an identical share to Daimler AG.

    Tesla is also backed by Mountain View, Google’s co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, and the government of Abu Dhabi.
