  • Which film?

I watched a DVD of Shirley MacLaine's film debut last night. Don't cheat by looking it up, but does anyone know the film, which I found very entertaining after all these years? She is now 76!

The first thing that comes to mind is Annie... But I could be way off...

edit: I looked it up, and it looks indeed like I'm way off. But the answer is indeed a great movie!

Her first film was The Trouble with Harry, which is a very, very funny flick about folks who try to figure out what to do with Harry, who is dead. Most folks though remember her second and third films; Artists and Models with Dean Martin and Jerry Lewis and Around the World in Eighty Days which won 5 Oscars and starred half the actors in Hollywood and the UK.

... with an added bonus that it takes place amid the New England fall colouring. Yes, I enjoyed watching it again (the last time was as a new release!!!!!). It was in a box of 14 Hitchcock feature films, including most of the well-known ones (Psycho, Vertigo, Rear Window, Marnie etc.) which cost me the princely sum of €19.50, delivered! What a bargain!
