  • World cup soccer horns

WTF is going on with all the stupid horn sounds that ruins the experience of watching a soccer game.
All you hear is the sound of the horn and barely anything else. In fact they say it could cause deafening of the ear.
The horns should be banned!!! Sheesh

I watched the hilites replay of the Eng Vs USA game last nite. I thought that there was a signal problem. Sounded live a swarm of bes. Very distracting. Hilites is about all I can stand watching soccer..

I'm glad it's not just me. Coming from a non-football (the soccer kind) nation I didn't know if that was normal or not. the horns drives me batty.

You all should try and come live with/in this infernal cacophony - the stuff is blown in the damn streets in residential areas at all hours of the day and night

hahahahaha... even US national news is complaining about the vuvuzela's!

Forget the USA- England rivalry; the real fight brewing at the World Cup is not over soccer, but the vuvuzela, the plastic horn that when blown correctly makes a very loud and drawn out sound. Supporters say it's an inspiring cacophony, but critics say it sounds like a swarm of bees, drowning out fans, commentators, national anthems and generally ruining the World Cup experience for everyone. FIFA, the soccer-governing body in charge of the World Cup, is under pressure to ban the noise-maker.

I may have to watch World Cup on mute if they don't ban or filter them out.
