GM to file for IPO

The New York Times is reporting that GM plans to file for its IPO in August, and expects to be selling shares by the end of the year. Morgan Stanley and JP Morgan/Chase will be the underwriters. The US Govt. will be using the Lazard investment company to act as its adviser.
