End of the rainbow

Heh. I've literally been to the end of the rainbow, back when I worked at the municipal airport. One summer evening a storm rolled through and the setting sun was shining under the clouds and illuminating the brightest rainbow I'd seen in a very long time. It was so bright it showed up against the trees in the distance and the runway and the tarmac around the GA terminal. I was able to follow the arc of the rainbow right to my feet. No leprechaun, though. Guess he spotted me before I saw him.
Another time I was driving southbound on a divided highway under almost identical weather conditions. That time the rainbow ended right in the highway divider next to my car. Pretty hard to keep your eyes on the road when confronted with a sight like that.
