I loved those books when I was a kid.
And the Venus and Pellusidar ones too

Special effects are good enough now to do Pellucidar well.
That would be cool.

I wonder what rating they will go for.
Filmed literally they could wind up R for gore and/or the clothing optional nature of parts of the books.

Dunno about that 'R' rating - remember how far they go with 'hard PG-13' violence in recent flicks & TV and semi-nudity with Mystique in X-Men. Push that envelope a tad further and.....

It's a Disney movie, so that should set reasonable expectations. Not too heavy on the hard violence and just enough skin to make a 13 year old blush.

Like with the Marvel Studios films, Disney is the distributor. Alphaville is doing the production, with a $250M budget and Pixar doing the CGI.
