Now casting 2 female leads - a love interest and a villain.

We know for a fact that one is Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Batman Begins villain Ras al Ghul. One might think that Talia would be the villain given her father, but she's helped Bruce many times and was a major factor in bringing down Lex Luthor. In fact, for a while she ran Lexcorp and after Lex's fall she sells it to The Wayne Foundation.

Talia is also a major romantic interest of Bruce/Batman and the mother of his son Damian Wayne - the new and rather hot-tempered Robin.

Actresses up for the roles include Keira Knightley, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Biel, Kate Mara and Charlotte Riley.

With Talia confirmed one female lead, speculation is settling around Selina Kyle/Catwoman or Vicky Vale for the second. Does Keira Knightley have the figure for either?

After all, in that King Arthur flick they had to digitally enhance her chest in post after (almost not) seeing her A-cups on a full screen

She also was asked to get enhanced for The Duchess. She refused but still got the part. OTOH rumors are it's actually cost her other parts, and it could well here.

Know what's also crap? Her bow hand grip; it's incorrect for old English archers. You grip loosely with open fingers, not firmly with the forefinger going over the thumb. Their weapons tech advisor sucked.

Tom Hardy: BANE (!!!!) (one of Batman's most intelligent & physically powerful enemies)

Le Figaro is reporting that Marion Cotillard has been cast as Talia al Ghul, the daughter of Ras al Ghul (villain of Batman Begins) and mother of Bruce Wayne's son Damian Wayne. Cotillard starred in last years Chris Nolan hit Inception, and won the 2007 Best Actress Oscar for her role in La Vie en Rose.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has also been cast in an as yet top-secret role. Nolan has said that Joker would not be re-cast and that Edward Nygma/Riddler is out. Levitt is also an Inception alumnus and was also in (500) Days Of Summer, Killshot, Havoc and G.I. Joe: Rise of COBRA (besides, of course. Third Rock From The Sun.)

Ra's al Ghul (young): Josh Pence (Social Network)

His scenes will be in a flashback 30 years before DKR's events.

This raises 2 possibilities -

1) Ra's discovery of the Lazarus Pits as a youth

2) the resurrection of Ra's by the League of Shadows

and God knows what else because there were many pits, including one Bruce discovered under the BatCave, and they were used bu more than just Ra's.

From the Set - SPOILER ALERT!

Eyewitnesses and crew members told us of a particular scene being filmed, where a bald-headed child wearing ragged clothes emerges from the well and pulls his hood over his head. From the conversations, we reckon this is a young Bane, emerging from a vat of Venom, trained by (Josh) Pence's Ra's al Ghul. The years of addiction to Venom builds him to be a massive monster with amped up senses, intelligence and physical prowess.

Israeli actor Alon Aboutboul (Body of Lies, Castle, NCIS, Fringe) has joined DKR as a "main villain," with rumors citlrculating that this role is psychotic scientist Hugo Strange - one of Batman's first foes dating back to the 1940's. In later arcs Strange advises a task force charged with hunting down Bats, an arc that fits in with the end of TDK.
