Can't anyone come up with original scripts these day. Seems like 50% of movies and TV programs seem to be remakes of previous ones..

When WW was made for TV it was part of the rather light JiggleVision trend (Charlie's Angels etc.) and not so serious. This will be much more serious, and pretty rough from what I'm hearing. More in tune with the version in Justice League: New Frontier or Wonder Woman 2009 (animated feature films) - very tough & not hesitant to deliver a beating or draw blood.

And a "remake" done well with a different tone & approach can excell - Batman Begins/The Dark Knight, the remake of 1942's Roxie Hart, aka Chicago, this years True Grit (yes, it's very good) etc.
