  • Loss of a loved one -

Recently one of my cousins died. He was a great guy; loyal, a good dad & husband. He was a load of fun in our youth, and as crazy of any of us when the mood hit.

I hesitate to use his name because of the sensitive nature of his career. Let's just say that the only ones who flew higher, or faster, than his unit were X-15 pilots, astronauts & cosmonauts. Pick a hot-spot.

I always felt for his long-suffering g/f-then-wife when the phone rang and he'd be off, never able to say word one about where he was going or when he'd be back. Not many women could, or would, handle that.

    We'll miss him greatly.

Condolences to you and yours. Losing a loved one is never easy, especially when sacrifices have played a role in that person's life long before they passed on.

Sounds like someone who spent his life doing something genuinely important. Not a bad eulogy at all.

                Condolences.

Yes, that was his version of protect & serve. As I've mentioned before our family has a history of being police, fire, medical, military, educators etc., and he was one of more extreme cases. Most of his career is still classfied. How severe is that?
