Been forever since I saw the original. Enough so that I can't even remember what I thought of it and what I'd think of them doing a remake.

What'll be interesting is if they follow the book, the original film, or come up with a mix of the two.

There are considerable differences between the two....not unlike Who Goes There? and the first version of The Thing (John Carpenter's version is very close - BRAVO!!), or Farewell to the Master and either film version of The Day The Earth Stood Still - though the first DTESS film stands strong on its own merits. Can't fault near perfection with that one.

I never actually read the book for Logan's Run even though I had a copy of it at one point. Have to remember to track it down again.

I've read both The Thing and Farewell To The Master (one of my favorites) and I loved Carpenter's version of the former and the first film, The Day The Earth Stood Still, based of the latter. The newer DTESS movie was good too, just not what I wanted out of a remake. I'd like to see a DTESS film encompass the original short story.

It's finally going to get made. Seem to remember seeing info on this about 4 ~5 years ago.

I have a Blu-ray of the original somewhere.. Good movie.. The TV program less so..

I haven't seen the original movie for 25 years or so...but I enjoyed it, mostly because Farrah Faucett flashed a nipple for 1/2 a second

And it was an interesting story....If we lived in that society, we'd all be long dead at our ages....
