$2.98/Gallon as of last night. Average 16.9MPG with my '07 Ford Freestar 4.2l, but it's doing livery work with the kids getting dropped off and picked up. On the freeway, it will do close to 30MPG, but I seldom get to stretch it's legs long enough to matter.

      $2.91/gal here
My Civic hybrid get about 36 mpg in inner city driving
And the Buddy 125 scooter I ride to work most days get 85 mpg.
That's $3 worth of gas every two weeks or so

PS The idea of $8/gal gas makes my hair stand on end. Sorry FT

Have you updated the software? That (~6.6 l/100 km) was typical of mine before I did so, but now, after a second change, I'm averaging ~5.9-6.2 l/100 km urban and 5.2 mixed. The first change they did was even better, but the all-systems no-go light came on after ~1000 km!

Work and back today, low motorway speeds due to traffic and roadworks, 5.1 l/100km. If only that were a mixed rather than optimal figure.

And Mehen, even my Navigator does 17l /100 in the winter. You need to get that thing looked at.
Winter is all city driving for me, and short trips. 10-15minutes warming it up, then 5-10 minutes driving It spends more time idling than being driven.

We did the latest "battery life" update here and dropped from 38-39 mpg down to 34-35 mpg all city.
Glad they saved money on battery replacements

Idling when the oil is too viscous for the pump to circulate it properly knocks hell out of the engine. The modern oil pump philosophy is to drive off immediately after starting so that the oil, at the higher pump revs, is forced better between the piston rings and the cylinders to reduce ovalising the latter. Depends whether you prefer comfort to engine life!

                  Comfort. I'm not driving around in a -30C freezer. F*&k that sh*t.

It is an old car anyways, not worth much, I'm driving it until it dies.

In our frigid winters I use 0W-40 synthetic oil in the Caravans.

Just read in the news paper that the new maximum price for Oct95 in Belgium is 1.624 euro/liter... So that is 1.398 pounds or 2.256 USD.

I remember when the Euro was introduced it was less than 1 euro per liter. Analists are now saying that prices as high as 4 euro/liter could be possible if the problems remain... yikes...

                        Locally 98 is 1.58 euro/litre, and rising.

The price of Diesel here is what 98Octane was a little while ago.

At least we're not as bad as UK where diesel is more expensive than petrol !!!
There would be riots and sh*t if they tried that here (over 90% Diesel).

Not looking forward to filling up the car next time.
