  • So I just watched the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy film...

...and it isn't a spot in the ocean compared to the original mini-series.

Maybe its because I saw it first on TV and loved it. (much like the "Nightmare man", still have freakys about those red eyes.).
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0170989/ (don't remember anything except those red eyes)

Gonna re-watch the six part series now, just to cleanse my soul.
If anyone has any faith, listen to the audio books, or watch the series, and while you're at it, find the original Lord of the Rings BBC radio series in 13 parts ( I have it on tape). Made the big mistake in listening to them whilst revising for my A-levels.

Needless to say I knew more about it than Maths. 35mins into the 4hr exam I was flummoxed.

Damn those people to have re-worked a piece of art. (HHGTTG).

I will always remember Marvin that way. And Disaster Area http://hitchhikers.wikia.com/wiki/Disaster_Area. Completely missing from the film...

(Beveraged induced rant end, see you at Milliways )

I totally agree - the miniseries stomps that sorry excuse of a movie.

I quite liked the more recent movie for what it was. The original mini-series is definitely far better, but still not as good as simply reading HHGTTG (in most any incarnation).

For those in the US (and maybe Canada), the mini-series is available for Netflix streaming.

Did you by chance catch the original Marvin's cameo?
