So Berkeley U. develops this BLEEX exoskeleton with/for the military that lets a soldier carry a 200 lb load without bearing the weight. Along the way a university students has an accident and becomes paralyzed from the waste down. Next thing you know the team makes a version that lets the kid walk at graduation to receive his diploma.
With a bit more work this has all kinds of promise for the infirm, soldiers, first responders etc etc.
