    Daredevil: Born Again (201x)

    Studio: Fox/Regency/Marvel

Director: David Slade (The Last Voyage of Demeter, Hard Candy, 30 Days of Night, The Twilight Saga: Eclipse)

Producers: Peter Chernin (Terra Nova-TV, Breakout Kings-TV, Rise of the Planet of the Apes); Dylan Clark (Rise of the Planet of the Apes)

Writing: Frank Miller & David Mazzucchelli (Daredevil #227-233); Brad Caleb Kane (screenplay - Fringe, Gravity, and hard-core Daredevil fanatic)

Be interesting to see how this translates, especially for moviegoers who aren't necessarily fans. Daredevil isn't an unknown even to non-comic book fans, but the character isn't well known enough for most people to care about the character's struggle from the comic.

If this was a followup to a well received reboot where the audience was given a reason to care, I could see this working. Just not sure given the previous movie wasn't that great and this is a reboot itself.

For the fans, I'm sure this could be just what they want to see.

Daredvil wasn't a box office failure. It cost $80m to make and took in $180m at the box office, not counting DVD, BR and the Directors Cut DVD & BR (which is a MUCH better film)

Never said it was a box office failure. I just said it wasn't that great of a movie.

As far as the theatrical release goes I agree - Fox royally screwed up the edit trying to fit it into a shorter slot. OTOH the Director's Cut fills a lot of plot holes left by the botched edit and is a far better film.

Well I admit, I have never seen the director's cut. I wanted to like the movie, so perhaps giving that version a go will make it so.

I mean, the director's cut made even Highlander 2 better...
