With Kurt, the oldest & now 33, we considered barring his window because he'd crawl out & watch TV through the front window, and putting a hook & eye on his door

Of course this is the kid who tightrope-walked across the top rail of the swing set at 3, then a month later he snuck away from mom & scooted up the ladder to the roof of the house while I was repairing an antenna.

Our two (and a half) year old is definitely one of those who likes to push the boundaries of what could be considered a reasonable bedtime.

I remember when I was younger, we lived on a military base, and I would sneak out my window and go exploring the base at night. It was a game dodging the MP and SP patrols.
