They "missed the boat" when it comes to submarines... leading me to question some other parts of their research:

Moderm subs use less power submerged for every knot of speed used...in fact, running at much above 2/3 speed on the surface would result in severe damage to the hull (tiles) and propulsion system (screw overspeed).
