F1 is shaping up to be an interesting season

Yes indeed, with the Red Bull dominance seemingly over and it being so close at the front of the grid it is shaping up to be a good season.

Personally I am looking forward to being able to watch proper live BBC coverage in the future. It has mostly been highlights for me so far (I missed last week's race as I was on holiday), although I have to say the BBC did a pretty good job with the time available.

I think we'll have several drivers in contention for the title for a long time, and the formula itself seems to be producing some exciting racing, so bring it on!

I think we might also expect Raikonnen to perform better. In the races, he clearly has the pace, but has some bad luck (or last week: bad strategy decision).
Hamilton seems the most consistent at the moment, which is quite good with such an equal field at the top. Also nice to see Webber overtaking Vettel: no team tactics at play yet...

So... 3 races, 3 different winners from 3 different teams (McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes)... ; 3 more teams that have the pace and drivers to win (Red Bull, Lotus, and even Sauber)...

It has been so long since I managed to watch a full race... Two years ago, I managed to stream some to my laptop, but it was poor quality. This year I had hoped to see it via satellite, but the second phase of my renovations starts next week (and would last 2-3 months), and I'm moving to a friend's place. I might have found some option to watch it later, but somehow it takes away the drama and tension if you know the result beforehand... Not sure if I'll manage this week, but perhaps the race after this one...

I would almost never watch it if I already knew the result - staying away from all media is one of the worst things about not being able to see it live.

I could pay for Sky Sports and see it all live, but I'm not paying £20/month for basically 9 races a year.

I might be interested in a summary showing the start, assuming some mishaps occur there, and non-human-damaging accidents during the race. Otherwise, I could not care less.

Watching it at length is as boring as tennis, cricket, football, rugby, baseball, ladies' netball, skiing or American football

watching a full race on most TV stations is boring... But watching a full race with the whole build-up, interviews, tongue-in-cheek comments, ... like they do on BBC or like they did on ITV is just watching a fun program during which cars happen to be racing.

Did you not detect my Wibble, Brian? It was clearly intended to be a joke and not personal.

It's an old argument. I am the first to accept that it became a procession for many years so the middle bit could be very boring unless something went wrong. That is far less the case these days. Why not give it a try and see? Although Bahrain may not be the best example, but we'll see.
