Well, at least this time it won't come to that...

Look on the bright side (for you): Netherlands got futher than Belgium.

Some newspaper twisted the words of a Belgian football player, after they lost the match to Argentina. They claimed he said: "But we will not loose from them next time, in the European Championship."

And there were so many jokes on the English team...
        -
Before the worldcup, the English players went to visit an orphanage in Brasil. "It is so sad to see those faces, without hope, without prospect.", said Jose, age 6.
        -
What is the difference between a teabag and the English team? The teabag stays longer in the cup.
        -

Anyway, Netherlands did nice. Always a shame not to get further, but at least they did not lose 1-7...

Expectations prior to the cup were that me would not make it past the qualification, with Spain and Chile in our group. They did very well and a lot of the younger players have grown during this cup. I hope they get their act together and beat Brazil 8-0 ;-).

Ah well, another world cup in four years and the European cup in two. All is good.

I hope and expect Germany will beat Argentina squarly.

I'd rather do away with F1-racing.

I'm no football fan either... But ok, a thread on football once every couple of years is not too bad...

What? And it is such a nice tense season: duel between Mercedes drivers, RedBull behind, Ferrari and McLaren not where they should be...
Sure, the races can be boring, but the technical side and general unfolding of the current season is interesting.

September 7th, the qualifiers for the European Championship 2016 start! Cyprus in group B, if they only leave Belgium ahead they'll make the tournament in 2016! :d

The games are over, but you have a couple of more days of analysis, chatter about the riots in Argentina and Gotze's goal.

The World Cup is hardly over when the BBC consecrate two channels, out of four, in prime time, to boring athletic games.

                                Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
