For some interesting 'learning from the past' lesson: Ukraine asking Germany for help with building a wall.

"Perhaps they communicate by changing colour? Like those sea creatures .."
    "Lobsters?"
"Really? I didn't know they did that."
    "Oh yes, red means help!"

      Also another point to learn:

German Emperor Wilhelm (who was one of bigger warmongers pre WW1 and built big offensive army) tried to drive a wedge between Britain and France by supporting Independence of Morocco from "evil imperialist" French.

He visited the poor Sultan to give support for Moroccan sovereignty and demanded international talks. French upped military preparedness and Germany threatened to sign defensive alliance with Sultan. France backed off and agreed to conference. Wilhelm was hoping the other powers would have supported his position of openness of Morocco to everyone, free trade and Britain supporting this would have angered and isolated French. French gave Moroccans more control but kept finances.

Wilhelm's position was damaged afterwards and only Austro-Hungary (who throughout the war became German puppet and relinquished control of military to Germans) supported him in the conference. His attempt to break Entente failed.
