Wonder Woman Set to Shoot This Fall

Deadline brings word, in a story unrelated to the DC Cinematic Universe, that Gal Gadot will be suiting up as Diana Prince for her solo Wonder Woman film later this year as production will begin in the fall.

“Breaking Bad” and “The Walking Dead” director Michelle MacLaren will helm the upcoming movie, which features a script by Jason Fuchs (Ice Age: Continental Drift, the upcoming Pan). Gal Gadot will make her first cinematic appearance in 2016′s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Recent rumors have suggested that, as a franchise, Wonder Woman is being targeted for development as a trilogy with the first film planned to take place in the 1920s, revealing Themyscira’s first encounter with the outside world and Wonder Woman’s own experiences with a USA that still had a lot to learn about equal rights.

Wonder Woman is set for release on June 23, 2017 with Justice League Part One to follow on November 10, 2017.

Chris Pine Will Play Wonder Woman's Steve Trevor

So it looks like he's not Green Lantern after all.

Warner Bros. appears to have found Wonder Woman’s love interest in the upcoming DC movie.

The Wrap reports Star Trek's Chris Pine has closed on a deal to star as Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman, with Gal Gadot of course playing the titular role. According to sources, Pine signed a multi-picture deal, including sequel options.

In the comic books, U.S. Army intelligence officer Steve Trevor crashes a plane on Paradise Island, Princess Diana's home. She cares for him, follows him home, and eventually becomes Wonder Woman.
Pine was previously rumored to be up for the role of Steve Trevor and was most recently rumored to be in the running to star as Hal Jordan in the Green Lantern Corps movie. It would seem that is no longer the case.

Wonder Woman is being directed by Patty Jenkins (Monster), who took over for Michelle MacLaren (Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead) back in April, and is expected to hit theaters sometime in 2017.

Holy smokes!!! That last trailer was awesome
I'm glad they showed a small clip of her flying. I've watched several anime's where Wonder Women is capable of flight and others where she is not.

I thought she stole the show in BvS, and this looks like she's kicking major ass & taking names.

Aquaman also looks to be a strong film, what with them moving away from the Super Friends version of the character to today's big aquatic badass.
