RIP. A great piece of "short life" engineering. It did a great service.. Maybe one day another storm may blow away the dust and it will come to life again.

They don't think it's components can survive the brittleness they will reach at night in the winter with no heaters running.
OTOH, they didn't think it could last 15 years either, to who knows.
