Crowdsourcing of the Cybertruck order numbers show >600,000 orders so far, including fleets. Some are being ordered in Europe.
A new Gigafactory for Cybertruck and the Model Y crossover SUV will be built of either Austin Texas or Oklahoma City. Texas is the favorite. Model Y will be built in the German Gigafactory opening in 2021.
In the video Musk talks about a 5% size reduction, but that's been cancelled - people want the full sized 6 passenger/4 door beast. They'll make a smaller Cybertruck later. They've also said a bed extension can deploy to take it from 6.5 feet to 8 feet long.
The tunnel is a prototype of The Boring Company's Loop transit system tunnels, dug with a new high-speed tunnelling boring machine. The first commercial Loop system is currently under construction for the Las Vegas Convention Center.
