    • Not quite yet because I was hit with taxes. I've been saving cash for a year but there is always something. Bought some MSFT and pharma last month as they are less volatile and will not dip as much, also pharma will do a stock split + IBKR now has access to our national stock exchange. IMHO now AMD is a buy and maybe NVDA (do your research).

      • I think it is easier for reasonable people to disagree on what month it is today then on whether Trump & crew are doing a lousy job, they are. I just really didn't think it would be this amateurish. Maybe I'll be able to close out some positions tomorrow, I have been writing quite a few put-options the past week and buying some dip the past week.

        • Bought some AMD.

WRT to Trump, his approach is amateurish but he is not without a plan. Look up Varoufakis explanation.

          • So what is the plan with what enumerable costs, benefits and timing?

            • Countries either pay tariffs which he can directly spend without having to go through congress to raise taxes or they give USA something else in negotiations. Idea is for fed to lower interest and then refinance US debt at low interest long term bonds. USA budget deficit, debt to GDP, interest on debt is unsustainable.

Whether this works out and to what extent, who knows.

                • Pharma did a 78 to 1 stock split but the price has not yet been adjusted so my portfolio looks like 1.7M EUR now . Good for screenshots. The price will be adjusted on next trading day on Monday.

                  • Funny. I am still rather passive as I have some stocks that I need to get rid off, but the prices aren't right for my algo. Ah well, making dividends and option-premia,

                      • The Arrow-lake refresh performs quite well, and Panther-lake is also looking good. It also seems that the upcoming Nova-lake at then end of this year will be a huge leap forward. They were due for a turn of events, previous generations were plagued with issues... So makes sense...

Still, I hope you got a lot of them, because that is a nice increase!

Very nice. Did you go into CSG? I thought about it, European defense industry and all, but after reading an interview with the CEO, I decided defense is still not for me as a sector. I had to reconsider after the 50% drop, because that is the kind of thing I am after, but still, I just couldn't. Would have made me some many in a short period of time. I am sorta hoping you had this in view and benefited from it.

Other than that, I still need to divest a bit but I am ready for a simply excursion to the US markets. If only they quoted in real money like EUR.....

                          • I didn't consider defense sector because my mental picture is entering post Ukraine war is too late. RTX being past the peak seems to confirm this. Euro defense stocks are later in the cycle but I think Ukraine war might unwind in a couple of years and then there will be less necessity for defense spending. European politicians are averse to defense spending in general.

Energy sector is high as well due to war and AI energy demand.

I will probably look into local blue chips. Index more than doubled in 3 years, 3-4% dividend yield, IRA accounts legislated this year (more investors coming to market), new right (EPP) government will be better for economy. Due to apartment purchase I don't expect to invest much this year.
