    The Starship SN8 road closure scheduled for Nov. 11 has been cancelled after Tuesday's static fire. The next testing opportunity is now Nov. 12. Anticipating another header tank static fire next, potentially with multiple engines.

    Preliminary info is that the debris that went flying during Tuesday's static fire was likely from the pad and is not a concern per Raptor performance. However, assessments can always change based on further data reviews, inspections, etc.

    Confirmation Starship targets the drink then diverts to the landing pad,

    Thomas Burghardt @TGMetsFan98
    Elon confirms that, like Falcon 9, Starship SN8 will target the water until the last second. Hopefully this means no crater at the landing pad!

    Yeah. Although, if it fails right at the end, some landing pad repair will be needed to fill in the crater.

    SN-08 static fire Sunday, weather permitting...most likely a single engine burn testing the LOX header tank in Starship's nose.

    4 road closures have been added from November 1-4. The closure for October 30 still active. All times Eastern

    November 1: 2000 – 0200 (nose header tank cryoproof)
    November 2: 1000 – 2300
    November 3: 1000 – 2300
    November 4: 1000 – 2300

    ==========

    SN-08 NOTAM for ground operations,

    Flight restrictions for 61 days. Big rockets with large propellant loads doing multi-engine static fires, etc., and if the 15km flight (separate NOTAM) works they'll be doing envelope expansion flights. Higher, faster, heat shield tests, etc.

    Unless things change in next week's Starship update, SN-08 etc. are the small version of SpaceX's Starship.

    Caspar (Stanley Creative) @Caspar_Stanley
    Just a reminder that SpaceX will actually offer a 22-meter extended fairing variant of Starship to future customers.

    Current fairing is 17.24 meters tall.

    It might not look like a big difference here, but that's an extra 4.76 meters, which adds a good ~239m³ of volume!
