Mars orbiter sees Opportunity rover

NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter has photographed the Opportunity rover from an altitude of 275 kilometres. Its high resolution HiRISE camera allowed it to see Opportunity's tracks and the shadow of its camera mast. The image scale is 29.7 centimeters (12 inches) per pixel.

The HiRISE site has all the pictures, plus a handy Flash viewer at http://marsoweb.nas.nasa.gov/HiRISE/hirise_images/ that is nice if you don't have a high bandwidth connection and enough RAM to view the large images in their entirety, like the crummy computer I use here at work (256 MB and a 512 kbps wireless connection.)
