  • Interesting counter to the Pangea theory

Though the final conclusions are flawed (from a logics standpoint), it's an interesting video

If it's wrong, please provide convincing proof, to the contrary.

    How layman sees it...

    - effects would be seen in "magnetic leftovers" of Earth's magnetic field in solidifying magma/todays rocks

    - GPS is quite accurate, we're observing continent drit right now...but no change in size

    - actually those things aren't happening/aren't visible on Mars & Venus...they have rather uniform surface. Earth is be different because of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Giant_impact_hypothesis

    - why we are not observing such processes on smaller scale (matter that comes out of nowhere/increases volume for no reason easily explained by todays science)

    - overally doesn't keep up with Occam's Razor (through it doesn't necceserilly have to to be correct...)

    - where's explanation? There isn't anything scientific about it as seen in this video...

    - the idea of global conspiracy of scientists...well, should I say more?

Overall IMHo right now its the kind of stuff that atracts people who like to be in centre of attention...but don't really know how to do that...

I'd like to know how he would explain away the Himalayas?

I found his site ( http://www.nealadams.com/ yeah, THAT Neal Adams) and I wish I hadn't

          Lets talk Mountains.

The Earth is growing . Let it sink in. The Earth is three times in circumference now than it was 200 million years ago. Each piece needs to be absorbed. That’s about three and a half times the mass.

I know that should be more like four and a half, but its not .... cause there’s a pretty big core space getting bigger.

So an Earth between 10 and 8 thousand miles around,....... with no mountains!!!!!!!!!

Rises, folding , yes , small mountaining , if you could call it that, but mountains,? No !

first the crust was to thin ,4 to 6 miles . Its more like 30 miles thick now. That’s 4 to 30. Big difference. Important difference.

When a ball that’s, say 8,ooo miles around, creates and adds mass to its core, and grows to upwards of 24,000 miles, well a lot of cracks and spreading of the crust will occur. but piece of that crust will remain whole.

          We'll talk about those pieces......O-kay?

Those pieces are getting thicker, and thicker, now rather quickly, because the heat, mostly is going to those rises at the rifts in the middle of the oceans!

Getting thicker, more firm, yes,.... but the curvature of these pieces is much greater than the globe on which they sit,...8, growing to 24 thousand.

.........The length , the size of the upper crust of these pieces is GREATER than the base ........Especially if the continental pieces are getting thicker.

They MUST flatten down to match the curve of a growing planet. Mustn’t they??

MUST! Cannot be any other way ...... if the Earth is growing.....and.... as it flattens, it crumples into folds! We call them Mountains, In fact as the Earth continues to grow the mountains continue to grow. Want to know if the Earth is still growing ? Are the mountains still growing ?

          Yes ?

Then the Earth is still growing.

So the continents fold,.... and the edges crack and split, into "V" shaped splits.

This process can change a bit if conditions change. South America for example.

Three unique things happened to South America. First, it unwrapped and pulled away from Africa. Its tail was pulled equally by Africa AND Antarctica, so it arched to the west. But the powerful Pacific rift and spread opened and pushes against the backbone of South America, so it straightens out against this stopping force, It folds, crumples along the edge ,

This arching of South America's spine creates massive "V" shaped splits along the lower east coast of South America's tail.

Different configurations of the land , alter the configurations of the mountains ,.... But if you go by the basic rules laid out here you can figure it all out . It makes total sense . Of course I've lived with this for quite a while so maybe its easier for me,

Still, study it , it will start clicking.

If there's artificial intelligence, there's bound to be some artificial stupidity.

            The Producer's home page.

            ABOUT HIS SCIENCE PROJECT
"This project is the biggest, most incredible thing I've ever done in my life. For friends who think I've invested too much of my reputation in this project and failure if I'm wrong would disgrace me somehow, I say 'don't you worry about if for one minute.' I'm a big boy and I've done my homework and the fact that I don't resort to Latin or big esoteric words doesn't mean I don't fully understand the sciences on a basic and profound level. I do.
For those of you who don't think I'm serious about what I do and I'm light meat, do this.
Ask artists and writers what impact my battles with the publishers have had on their income and lifestyles since them days 'til today in simple overt areas like royalties and return of original art.
I know comics are light and fluffy compared to the sciences but I don't make my moves 'til I've dotted my i's and crossed my t's. And yes, I know I'm up against 99.9 percent of the scientific community.
But, to be honest, I kinda' like those odds. And try this what if I'm right. Wouldn't that be a hoot?
According to his theory, then, the Earth must be inflating like a balloon. Soon it will pop, and then where will we be?

The thing I can't figure out is where, according to this "theory," the water in the oceans came from. If it was released from under the crust, then the loss of hydraulic pressure would cause the Earth to shrink and the surface to buckle and wrinkle, much as we witness in geology. With water constantly upwelling to gradually fill expanding seas, the Earth's rate of expansion must be greater than the surface shrinkage caused by the drop in hydraulic pressure. Unless it's the drop in hydraulic pressure that's causing the expansion. Either way, we're screwed.

KRSESQ, I think he implies a little ("fish found on land") that at the beginning Earth was completelly covered...
