This is a new project, not yet operational, to provide very detailed on-line scientific data for 1,800,000 species of animals and vegetables in their widest meaning. Have a look through their website, not omitting their FAQ section. I believe that this looks like a site worth supporting to the hilt. The video on the home page gives a brief review of the project.

Didn't get to load all the demo pages etc. because it seemed to be getting a lot of traffic but it looks great. The real tests will be if they buy enough bandwidth (they're going to need it) and if they can avoid politicising their content. Too many nature sites started out OK then jumped that shark.
