  • WASP injector knife

    When stabbed the target is injected with 24g of gas compressed at 800 psi

    Since World War II, the military has seen its soldiers equipment go through many radical changes and technological advances. From the M1 Garand to the M14 to the M16. Advances in weaponry and even things as simple as a pair of boots make our fighting men the best equipped soldiers in the world.

    One weapon, though, has gone unchanged. The knife. Yes, there have been changes in the styles and blade configurations, but it is still just the same old sharpened piece of steel. Until now.

    Today our soldiers face many new challenges and to overcome those challenges they deserve the most advanced equipment that is available to them. A simple knife is OK to have, but when it comes down to the last line of defense you want to be carrying something that will get the job done.

    Introducing the WASP Injection Knife. A multi-shot gas injection weapon that is devastating to any living creature and will drop some of the largest mammals in a single stab. This easy-to-use, easy-to-reload weapon delivers up to a 24g shot of compressed gas at 800 psi. on land or underwater. It is silent when used and deadly to our enemies. No need to take a chance that the enemy can come back to attack you.

    The WASP is ideally suited for:

    * Special Op's Troops (Land or Sea)
    * Downed Pilots Stranded In Open Water
    or Remote Forests
    * Military Survival Kits
    * S.W.A.T. and Special Police
    * Security Guards (Special Protective Services, Air Marshals, etc.)

    That's just crazy. As if a common knife in skilled hands wasn't deadly enough.

    It didn't sound very silent to me. When the target ruptured and when the wasp was withdrawn there was a very distinctive hiss of released pressure.

    And when you're in the field and run out of cartridges you're stuck with just a knife, anyway.

    It might come in handy against sharks or other wild predators, but in combat, where speed, silence, and lethality are essential, who needs a knife you need to reload?

      I don't think it is particularly "extra deadly", or even that great of an idea... the pressure is indeed 800PSI (at 85Degrees F.), but the (only) 24g of propellant, and the small diameter of the orifice reduce the effective pressure and speed of delivery by a large amount.

      1) People aren't watermelons...we're a lot "squishier".
      2) You have to trigger the device when the blade is inside the target - nearly all the way to the hilt to be really effective...
      3) You also have to hold it in place; it definitely has some recoil; even moreso when you are holding it in your target...
      4) You'll get about one full power shot; two at the most, and I bet pushing that button is not exactly easy... Remember how much pressure you are working against.
      5) It is NOT silent.
      6) It may serve to freeze or cauterize the wound...

      It's a novelty...

      If I had to get that close to someone to do them, I'd rather be doing it with a 12 Gauge bangstick: stick the muzzle in firm contact with their body and WHAMMO - end of problem. Not too noisy, either... all the energy and gas goes directly into their body. A lighter hit means they are only slightly less dead.

        At least they got one thing certainly right - military equipment FTW!
        Nothing beats its value when it comes to camping/trekking/etc.

        BTW, when it comes to knifes - you probably can't beat price/value of Glock 78 or 81.

          Interesting, but realistically, I am not even sure the diving application interests me.

            How is this going to help against whatever one faces in open water or remote forests?

            For diving, the only uses for a knife is to cut through nets, cables or even plants one might get entagled in, and the air pressure doesn't help this.

              And what about the most common anti-shark technique of stabbing/hitting one in the eye? Seems it would work better if you pressure-nuke their skull

                There are electronic anti-shark devices, that give you the advantage of not having to tangle with the animal. Shark attacks on divers are quite rare; most humans are attacked because the shark mistakes them for seals (swimmers/surfers). Due to the way a diver looks underwater, they are not easily mistaken for food.

                People utilize marine habitats in a broad range of recreational and professional activities, thus shark attacks occur in a variety of circumstances. Victim activities assemble into four main categories; those on top of, in, under, or entering and exiting the water. Victims' Activity During Unprov

                (not the low number of attacks)
